2007 Holiday Home Tour: A Smashing Success!
Thank you to all tour-goers and volunteers

The warmth and spirit of the Waterbury Neighborhood triumphed over challenging weather conditions on December 1 and December 2. While the final numbers aren't available at the time of writing, there was barely breathing room at the six tour homes (see below) on Sunday, December 2. Those who braved the weather on Saturday, December 1, were treated to intimate tours - many led at a leisurely pace by the home owners themselves.

The tour would not be possible without the contributions of volunteers and local support. Seven families (six houses on tour and Headquarters), over 200 volunteers (inside and outside of the neighborhood) and the City of Des Moines contributed to the Tour's success.

Proceeds from ticket sales fund the perpetual care of the Waterbury Gardens. The main Waterbury Garden is located at the corner of Polk Blvd. and Ingersoll Avenue - a neighborhood focal point enjoyed by all traffic in the area.
