Proposed Changes to Association and Foundation Bylaws
The following proposed changes will be voted on at the Waterbury Neighborhood Association Annual Meeting on April 18th at 5 PM, 5101 Grand Avenue. The below is provided for your review. Questions may be directed to Bryan Bunton at bryan_bunton@yahoo.com.
Overview of proposed changes
1) Corrects grammatical errors
2) Capitalizes Board of Directors and various Director positions throughout
3) Provides consistency between Association & Foundation rules
4) Justifies the paragraph text
Association
5) Combines and clarifies Membership and Voting Requirements
6) Labels all public meetings as “general membership meetings” and clarifies that Board meetings are not necessarily open to the public.
7) Provides that past Board members may serve again after a 1 year absence.
8) Provides that two Board members may share a seat (aka “The Erickson provision”)
9) Adds in duties of the Vice President
10) Changes Treasurer’s reports from monthly to quarterly
11) Adds a section on finances
12) Clarifies how bylaws are approved and amended
Foundation
13) Adds in the voting provisions previously approved for the Association
14) Adds in duties of the Vice President
15) Changes Treasurer’s reports from periodic to quarterly
16) Clarifies how bylaws are approved and amended
